Multicolored wooden glasses: how they are made and why they are unique
Some glasses go unnoticed... and others have something different about them.
This collection was born precisely from that: from doing something different within the realm of wood, without losing its essence.
Because not all wooden glasses are the same.
In this case, we are not talking about a single carved piece, but a more elaborate process that allows for the creation of unique combinations of color and texture.
The result: wooden sunglasses with, if possible, more personality, more depth and a finish that leaves no one indifferent.
How are these wooden glasses made?
Unlike traditional wooden glasses, these frames are not made from a single piece.
They are constructed from thin sheets of wood, which are dyed in different shades and joined together by pressure to form multi-layered blocks.

From these blocks, the mount is worked either vertically or horizontally as if it were a single piece, always respecting the natural structure of the material.

This process allows for the creation of unique color combinations, with depth and nuances that do not exist in nature, without losing the essence of what they are: wooden glasses.
What makes them different? It's not just about aesthetics.
Each layer is part of the frame's structure, not just a surface finish.
This means the color won't wear off or fade with use, and each piece will retain its character over time.

Three example models, three ways to implement them
Within each collection we have several models available; below we show you three example models, each with its own personality:
TORLA
Perhaps the most striking of the three .
A mix of layers in blue, yellow, and natural tones in the eyebrow and sideburn area creates a vibrant pattern, with a rounded shape that gives it a fresh and distinctive look.
|
KRETA SK
Multicolored with personality.
The layers of wood are clearly visible throughout the frame, creating a striking striped effect that is surprisingly comfortable to wear.
|
GHANA
Perfect balance.
It combines a multi-colored split front in the eyebrow area with natural zebrawood on the temples and under the front, achieving a softer and more elegant contrast without losing personality.

Who are these glasses for?
This type of wooden sunglasses is especially good if you're looking to stand out from the crowd.
They're not for those who want to go unnoticed, but they're not excessive either.
They work great for everyday wear, combining with relaxed styles, summer, travel, or simply as that different detail that makes all the difference.
Same essence, another way of working with wood
At Root we continue to work with natural wood, but exploring new ways to bring it to life.
These glasses are a good example of that.
Natural materials, careful design, and a process that gives each piece its own unique character.
The same essence as Root.
Natural wood, worked in a different way.
