Found a Root frame you love, but wish it came with different lenses? You can choose another combination on compatible models. For an extra €19.95 per pair, we fit your chosen lenses and include the original ones too.

What is Root lens customisation?

Sometimes you find the perfect frame and imagine it with a different lens colour. Perhaps a blue gradient, an even tint or a mirrored finish. With customisation, you can choose from the options available for your model and receive your sunglasses ready to wear.

How to customise a new Root pair

1. Open the product page and choose the standard lens option.
2. Open the lens customisation option, where available.
3. Select your custom lens colour from the menu.
4. Add the sunglasses to your basket and check the frame and lenses before completing your order.

Customisation is optional and costs an additional €19.95 per pair, on top of the sunglasses price. We fit your chosen lenses and include the original lenses too. You can return to the standard combination on the product page.

Solid, gradient or REVO

Solid: an even tint across the lens. Gradient: a gradual change in shade. REVO: a mirrored finish whose appearance can vary with the light.

Choose from the colours available in the selector. The outer finish and the darkness of a lens are different features: a brighter colour does not by itself mean greater protection. Contact us before ordering if you need help choosing.

Already own a Root pair?

You can also replace the lenses in a Root pair you already own, whether they are worn, scratched or you would like another finish. Check compatibility and the condition of the frame first. We need to receive your sunglasses to cut and fit the replacement lenses.

Include the model when ordering and follow the shipping instructions on the service page. The model name is usually engraved inside the left temple. Sending your sunglasses to Root and returning them to you are separate journeys: check the conditions before posting them.

No. This customisation is for sunglass lenses and is not a prescription lens service.
